Hearing Screening

McKinley Medical Centre is proud to announce the commencement of a hearing screening service with our visiting hearing specialists - True Hearing.

A hearing screening is a simple test where sounds are played through headphones to check the softest sounds you can hear at different pitches. The main purpose of this test is to identify whether you may have hearing loss, even if you have not noticed significant hearing difficulties yourself.

The results can help show whether your hearing is within the expected range or whether there are signs of reduced hearing that may need further investigation. If hearing loss is detected, your GP may recommend a more comprehensive hearing assessment with an audiologist, depending on your results and symptoms.
